In the popular beach known as the Bajo de guía horse races are held each year in summertime.

In the historic quarter you can find many interesting monuments, such as the hermitage of Santa Ana, from the 18th century, the church of San Juan Bautista, from the 19th century, and the castle of Sancti Petri, from the 13th century, a former military fortress.
