Why more when a golf hole should follow the natural contours?” that was Pepe Gancedo’s question when he designed Torrequebrada, Benalmadena’s only golf course. Since its opening in 1976 Torrequebrada has hosted many word-class tournaments including the Spanish Open.

One of the most popular golf courses in Spain, it is the home club of PGA European Tour professional Miguel Angel Jimenez. Torrequebrada offers golfers a challenging layout with plenty of trees and water hazards with several particularly tricky holes.

The 6th, a short towards an elevated green where the pin is barely visible. The course offers spectacular views over the sea but the wind can sometimes present players with an extra degree of dificulty.

How to get there: The course is about 3 kilometres from the coast and you reach it by taking the turnoff at kilometre 220 of the N-340 highway by the hotel Torrequebrada.
