Montizón lies in the northern part of the El condado region, on the provincial border with Ciudad Real, at the extreme northeast of the Sierra Morena, and the environs of the Dañador reservoir are the area of greatest interest to the tourist.
This is where the hermitage of San Isidro stands which receives hundreds of pilgrims every May. Fiestas are held in honour of the patron saint with athletic cultural and gaming activities. During the San Juan fiestas there is a running of calves through the streets and the verbena night time activities last until dawn. In the Cristo de la Expiración, the weekend closet to 14 September the running of the yearling bulls returns to the streets of the village. Choose one of their fiestas and visit this mountain village.
