Any season is good for visiting Mojacar, but especially spring during its splendid Holy week, and although some may say that it is impossible to stop here during the summer if you don’t you’ll miss one of the best presentations of Moors and Christians in all of Spain.

This town is not to be talked about but to be experienced and travelled over, from the overlooks of the New plaza or Castle to the Encarnacion and santa Maria churches and not forgetting the seventeenth century Tower of Macenas of the tower of Perulico, which dates from the nazarite era.

In this pleasant stroll you will also see everywhere you look the figure of indalo, which has become the principal symbol of the city nailed to doors, painted on walls, on fences or on the ceramics in shops.

For sleeping, there is nothing more relaxing than the parador nacional in Mojacar which overlooks the beach with its numerous restaurants and stands
