The Golf courses in Jaen by now have raised less interested than the coastal provinces, of which continues to be the highlight the Costa del Sol, also known as the Costa del Golf.

Jaen, an inland province, however not only has a large, rich and varied heritage but also a countryside of great beauty and is also known as “the Switzerland of Andalusia” due to the large variety of existing mountain systems. The province has several protected natural areas and four natural parks, with two important Renaissance cities, Baeza and Ubeda, which are World Heritage Sites.

This is the setting to enjoy golf at two golf courses that exist to date in the province. However, there are several projects underway for future fields. The Club de Golf la Garza nine-hole course was founded by amateurs in 1969 and is located in Linares. Jaen Golf Club provides for the enjoyment of its members excellent facilities with 18 holes.

The future golf course “Paraiso Golf” with over 18 holes and a size of 70 hectares will have special conditions relating to environmental quality, with particular respect of water resources, environment and indigenous species, thus ensuring a special excellence.
