Some of the cheapest property on the Costa del Sol can be found in Torremolinos, although beach-front apartments and penthouses fetch premium prices.
Bargains can occasionally be found in older apartment blocks, in the centre, that were built in the 60s and 70s, although modernisation is usually required and the quality of construction may be poor. Extensive new construction is currently taking place in the east of the town.
