The the front nine at the Guadalhorce course, which was designed by Kosti Kuronen, has a distinctly European feel about it with its slightly rolling terrain and tricky green, especially the long green at the 4th. On the back nine the layout is more American in style with lakes, tropical vegetation and raised greens.
Throughout the course many of the greens are extremely large and in some cases they are shared between two hole, the 6th and the 8th, for example, also the 12th and 16th. Refreshments can be enjoyed by the practice ground near the 7th and 9th greens.
How to get there: Turn off the highway towards Málaga about 13 kilometres from Marbella and take the Calahonda exit.
