This village is a luminous mosaic of narrow, steep streets of the distinctive regional type, stamped with the mountain character of La Campiña.

Its parish church of La Natividad de nuestra Señora, built in the sixteenth century, has been declared a historic Monument. In its honour, Jamilena celebrates three days of musical acts, evening parties and sports competitions.

Sunday in the day the pilgrimage is performed, beginning with the departure of the flamenco-clad attendees to the Hill of San Isidro in colourful carts. At the end of the road they spend a pleasant day which concludes with the procession of the image of the accompanied by floats.
