You have to visit Lopera to take a relaxing stroll through the village in august to witness the spectacular Los Cristos Fair: that of the Vera Cruz or Cristo Grande, the first to receive worshippers and whose brotherhood dates from the sixteenth century, and on the next day reveille is held at Cristo Chico, salvos fired at dawn by the brotherhood members.

The religious fiesta concludes on Tuesday with the procession of the image of Cristo del Humilladero, accompanied by its soldier troop that was founded in the eighteenth century. Among the festivities of this village, known for its Amontillado wine, the greyhound races and the two daily calf fights are outstanding.
