Antes de la llegada de los musulmanes, Castillo de Locub\u00edn era ya ciudad \u00edbero romana. En los alrededores del municipio existen varias cuevas, la mayor\u00eda a\u00fan sin explorar, entre las que sobresalen las del Jabonero, la de los Murci\u00e9lagos, la del Caldero, la de la Cabeza Baja y la de la Moneda, en el Vadillo."}
