Nerja Caves, Ctra de Maro on the east side of Nerja, accessible
from the A-7 bypass (952-529-520)
A fascinating collection of caves discovered in 1959. The caves
run for some 4.3km although only a third of them are included
in the visit, and include spectacular stalactite and stalagmite
formations.
The annual festival of opera and ballet is held in the caves in
July. The caves are open daily from 10am to 2pm and from 4 to
6.30pm.Free for children.
