Several companies offer boat trips leaving from the various marinas
on the coast to another location on the coast. Before you get
on make sure the company have comprehensive insurance and are
legally registered.
Benalmadena To Malaga : Costasol Cruceros 952-444-881. One trip
daily on Mondays and Thursdays. Price for return ticket 11€.
Marbella to Puerto Banús: Don Jorge, trips from Marbella to Puerto Banús and back, leaving several times daily. Trip takes 30 minutes.
The Strait of Gibraltar are home to several large colonies of
Common and Striped Dolphins, and small whales are also visitors.
Sightings from boat trips are common, although not guaranteed
and there are several companies offering trips out to the Strait
to see dolphins. If you take a trip from Gibraltar or Tarifa you’re
more likely to see dolphins. If you take a trip from Fuengirola,
because the dolphins tend to congregate nearer the Strait themselves.
Note that trips are cancelled in bad weather- telephone the company
to check before setting out on a long journey.
