Fuenteherido was known as The Fountain for the enormous stream of water that has always surfaced there and even the local patron saint whose fiesta is celebrated on 15 August took the name virgin of the Fountain. Another distinctive fiesta is the Carro Fiesta during the Corpus weekend, the day in which the young people prepare a cart to take to the neighbouring village of Navahermosa, which celebrates its great fiesta during those days.
