AYUNTAMIENTO
Built in 1631, it boasts a Baroque façade. Coffered ceilings
in the 'Mudéjar' style.
CASA DE PALMA
It dates back to 1604 and was founded by the Marquess of Algarinejo.
CASTILLO DE CARCHUNA
From 1783, it was built as a defence fortification.
COLEGIATA DE LA ENCARNACIÓN
This 1510 building was constructed as a fortress to defend the
invasions by 'moriscos' and pirates. It is the oldest surviving

ERMITA DE SAN ANTONIO
The church was built in 1679 in Baroque style.
SANTUARIO DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA CABEZA
Church built in honour of the Patron of Motril. The image dates
back to XVI Century, during the time when Portuguese sailors who
brought the statue from Corinth, ran aground on the coast of Motril
due to a storm. In Baroque style, the Virgin's room is of special
interest. In the XVII Century, the Chapel was converted into a
Franciscan Abbey.
IGLESIA DEL CARMEN
The church was constructed in 1538 in the Baroque style. It has
a single nave structure and a hemispherical dome in the chancel.

IGLESIA DE LOS CAPUCHINOS
It was first built in 1641 as a chapel in honour of Saint Antón.
Later, the chapel in 'Mudéjar' style was extended to a
single nave church.
IGLESIA DE LA NOTARIA
This Abbey of Monks 'Mínimos de la Victoria' was constructed
in 1580.
