Velez malaga La axarquia
Time: two hour.

From the town of Vélez-Málaga, head along the Benamocarra road. To the left lie the cultivated fields of the Vélez River; a point where other brooks merge before reaching the sea.
About a km outside of town lies a crossroads; turn left and head over a bridge on the Benamargosa River. Immediately after, a path branches off to the left running parallel to the Vélez River heading south, following the rich lowlands of Anaya.

Hiking through these beautiful lands is as easy as getting off and on the same path. Stay on the trail until arriving at a crossroads. Head right, along the unspoiled edges of the El Capitán housing development. A few km ahead, the national coastal road can be found.

The Torre de Vélez ruins are nearby, as well as the old lighthouse of Punta Vélez-Málaga.
